Katrina's deepest love is not Salman

Voted as 'world's most sexiest woman' and Bollywood's heartthrob queen, Katrina Kaif is a busy bee nowadays. After giving back to back super hit flicks, this bombshell is gearing up to bombard her fans worldwide with yet another flick, Yuvvraaj. Directed by Subhash Ghai, the movie has some great music given by the combined effort of A.R. Rahman and Gulzar.

In the movie, Katrina plays a woman who's love interest lies in Salman. But her greatest and deepest love lies in music. That is why Yuvvraaj's sideline is 'Music binds Love'.

Producers and directors are dying to work with this lady who is gaining tremendous popularity. Currently, Katrina is shooting in Goa for Rajkumar Santoshi's Azab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani. Ranbir Kapoor pairs opposite her in this film.


The musical success of Yuvvraaj was celebrated a couple of days ago at Subhash Ghai's Whistling Woods, filmcity.

The media and press were not sure if Katrina could make it to the event as she was shooting in Goa, but the dutiful and hardworking lady worked all day long in Goa and then even made it a point to make it to the event. This was perhaps the last promotional event done as Yuvvraaj is all set to release this Friday (21st Nov. 2008).

One must say Katrina has really put in a lot of effort to gain this name and fame.

As one correctly says, "No pain; No gain".

Yuvvraaj thrown out of theatres

Subhash Ghai's latest offering, Yuvvraaj has been one helluva disappointing film. The film not only opened to a below average response in the multiplexes, it also got a severe thrashing by the critics. The word of mouth spread about the film was completely negative. A lot was expected from the real life jodi – Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif having being paired romantically first time together but their on screen chemistry appeared completely thanda.


Industry trade sources tell us, "The film opened to 30-40% in all the major multiplexes on Friday but the collections actually dropped down further as Sunday came. Then on Monday it went lower to a poor 20-25%. Later, as the week progressed one saw just 30-40 people patronizing its show in most of the multiplexes. At some places even in big cities, the response dwindled so low that the multiplexes were left with no option but cancel some of Yuvvraaj's shows."


"Salman's last project, God Tussi Great Ho had met with almost a similar fate and it was necessary for him to deliver a hit in Yuvvraaj. But more than him it is the showman to be blamed for disappointing everybody, including Salman. It is learnt that some portions of the movie have been re-edited. But now it's too late!" the source further added.

Now, an animation film is being made on the late legend and is titled Puratchi Thalaivan. The movie is directed by Venky Baboo and produced by Sridevi Rao under the banner Mayabimbam Media. Says Sridevi Rao, “Maduraiyai Meeta Sundara Pandiyan was the last release of MGR, and now after a long gap, Puratchi Thalaivan will bring him back in animation.

It will portray the best of the legends’ style and mannerisms.” The buzz is that for this animation film, the producers are trying to get the permission of either Trisha, Shriya or Nayanthara to be paired opposite the icon. The trailer of Puratchi Thalaivan will be premiered on January 17, the birthday of MGR.

Nayantara In Love Again

Though the actress Nayanatara has not been able to make inroads into Bollywood like Asin it is popularly believed that she has the ability to draw crowds into theaters. She is also the most preferred for big budget movies. Now the fact is that after seeing Nayantara again in this sexy avtar Simbu, her ex flame is unstoppable.

As per Chennai gossip, he has been making efforts to get in touch with her and sending out sms's and flowers. The grapevine also says that Nayanatara is tending towards him again despite all nonsense that he created earlier.

What happens has to be seen and one only hopes that Nayana should take careful step before putting herself into fire.

You usually see girls romancing older man but national award winning actress Tabu has broken this taboo, at least if the latest talks are to be believed. It is said that she is romancing upcoming actor Upen Patel, who is ten years younger to her.

The news is doing the rounds that Tabu was spotted kissing Upen at a night club in Mumbai. It is said that the duo looked very much in love. In fact, Upen feels that Tabu is hot and sexy though she is older to him by ten years.

Shilpa Shetty perfect Bond girl, says Daniel Craig

Big Brother seems to have done a world of good to Shilpa Shetty. The show has put her on the world stage more effectively than Mistress of Spices, Provoked, The Last Legion, or The Pink Panther 2 put together did Aishwarya Rai.

And now the latest Bond, Daniel Craig, has said that Shilpa would make the perfect Bond girl, thanks to her awesome figure. He said in an interview that Shilpa has a killing figure just right for a Bond girl.

Well, she does have an awesome figure but, lordy, her face! She used to be quite sweet looking once, artless and unsophisticated perhaps, but her mile-wide smile made her look innocent and sensual at the same time.

And look at her now. All that hacking and sculpting on her face makes her look so unreal. Those of you who like their movie stars to have the sculpted-by-the-same-plastic-surgeon look will, of course, never agree.

Though Shilpa has no international movies on her hands, she still manages to capture interest overseas.
